Privacy statement

FUNIFELT Team is concerned with your personal data.

We take care to use and process your data in a secure way, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Dutch: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG)). And Decreto 1499 de 2017 (Colombia). This privacy statement informs you about the personal data we collect, why we do this, and to explain your rights about it. FUNIFELT Team takes collective responsibility for processing your data correctly. If you have any further questions regarding your privacy, please contact us.

Article 1: Data and purposes

FUNIFELT can ask for and can use your data in several ways, which we will explain here:

1.1 Subscription to join our platform

We use these data:
To make sure we can match you as good as possible to other participants;
To provide you with relevant information about the lessons;
To offer you adequate service during the lessons;
To inform you about the Spanish and English classes provided by FUNIFELT, if you are interested in those classes online or in person.
Not later than six months after you have subscribed for a lesson, we will remove your email address of the subscription.

1.2 Email, blogs and pictures

Every year, we will remove both sent and received mails from all our email addresses. However, in case an email contains a suggestion, complaint or information like a blog, pictures or information about how FUNIFELT operates, we will store that email. We will do this to guarantee a service as good as possible. And, next to that, for legitimate and essential corporate purposes, such as keeping the FUNIFELT lessons and meetings operational, for making data-based corporate decisions regarding possibilities and to meet our legal obligations.


Upon your request, we will remove or anonymize your personal data, so you can not be identified with these anymore, unless we have legal permission or are legally obliged to store certain personal data, i.e. in order to send you an invoice.

1.3 Invoice

When you receive an invoice from us, the following data will be processed: your name, your company name (if applicable), your email address, outstanding payments and your invoice address (if applicable). These data are necessary for successfully completing a payment. We are legally required to store these data for a period of seven years.

1.4 Marketing

We can use the following data for our marketing purposes: your name, your email address and (if applicable) your social media account (see: 1.4.3 FacebookInstagram, Youtube, and the future platforms). In this way we can inform you about our meetings, activities, lessons and updates.

1.4.1 Newsletter

You can subscribe to receive our NEWSLETTER. In this newsletter, we will inform you about our meetings, lessons, activities and other relevant information, such as language facts and activities in your area. To be able to send you the newsletter, we will use your name and email address. Every newsletter has an option to unsubscribe for future newsletters. If you decide to unsubscribe, the aforementioned data will also be removed.

1.4.2 Visual media

We will create visual media during the meetings, lessons and activities, and we will use it for our website and/or social media. The subscription form contains a question where we ask if you agree to be in it. If you indicate that you do not want to be visible, we will acknowledge your request.

1.4.3 Facebook

When you are a member of our public Facebook group FUNIFELT, Gimnasio Bilingue and Hispanxs School, the messages you post in these groups will be visible to all group members and other Facebook members that view this page. You can leave this Facebook group at any moment.
When you like our Facebook page FUNIFELT, you are able to ‘unlike’ this page at any moment.
When you get in touch with us via Facebook by means of a private message to FUNIFELT, or the chat functionality on the FUNIFELT Facebook page, FUNIFELT Team will handle it personally. Please refer to Facebook’s privacy statement to inform yourself about your privacy, when using Facebook.

1.4.4 Instagram

We are administrators of FUNIFELT, Gimnasio Bilingue and Hispanxs School pages on Instagram. If you choose to follow this page, or like any content on this page, your name will be visible. You can ‘unfollow’ this page or ‘unlike’ any messages at any moment. If you post anything on this page, your post will be publicly visible. If you get in touch with us through a private message, FUNIFELT Team will respond to you privately. Please refer to Instagram’s privacy statement to inform yourself about your privacy, when using Instagram.

1.4.5 LinkedIn

We are administrators of the FUNIFELT, Gimnasio Bilingue and Hispanxs School pages on LinkedIn. If you choose to follow this page, or like any content on this page, your name will be visible. You can ‘unfollow’ this page or ‘unlike’ any messages at any moment. If you post anything under our posts, your comment will be publicly visible. If you get in touch with us through a private message, FUNIFELT Team will respond to you privately. Please refer to LinkedIn's privacy statement to inform yourself about your privacy, when using LinkedIn.

1.4.6 Website

Our website does not use cookies. Our website contains links to other websites, that may use cookies. If you want more information about this, please refer to the cookie policy and/or privacy statement of those other websites.


General visiting data will be stored when you visit our website. In particular: your device’s IP address, time of visit and any additional data sent by your browser. These data will be used for statistical analytics such as visiting behaviour, so that we are able to optimize the website.

1.4.7 YouTube

We embed YouTube videos on our website in a Privacy Enhanced Mode. Cookies will not be used. This way, YouTube will not store information about you, unless you choose to play the YouTube video after all. For more information, please refer to the YouTube API Services terms of Service.

1.4.8 Zoom

In times when face-to-face meetings are not possible, we would still like to give you the opportunity to practice your languages. Therefore, we organize online meetings by using the program Zoom. We advise you to​ download the Zoom app and set it up properly. Next to that, we advise you not to send any sensitive information. After the meetings we will remove the data. Please refer to​ Zoom's privacy statement to inform yourself about your privacy, when using Zoom.

1.4.9 Meet Google

In times when face-to-face meetings are not possible, we would still like to give you the opportunity to practice your languages. Therefore, we organize online meetings, lessons and activities by using the program Meet. We advise you to​ download the Meet app and set it up properly. Next to that, we advise you not to send any sensitive information. After the meetings, activities or lessons we will remove the data. Please refer to​ Meet's privacy statement to inform yourself about your privacy, when using Zoom.

1.4.10 Apps

We have different Apps that their content is focused on fostering and promoting education, sports, music, and culture. Our target audience is classified as everyone, including children and families. We use specific information like location and username that is acquired through the application to the purposes necessary to provide and improve the functions of the application.  We also receive feedback on our Apps if something is not working appropriately.  The content of our Apps are focus on  Education: applications and games designed with the collaboration of experts from the academic field such as early childhood educators, special educators, university educators, specialist educators in foreign and second languages, and national and foreign researchers in order to promote academic learning, socio-emotional, physical and creative of youth, children and adults, in the same way, supporting families in case the app is related to early childhood, as well as learning related to basic, physical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving and use of languages.

Article 2: Acquiring your data

We acquire your data from you as a result of one or more of the following actions:
You sent us an email;
Your subscription to join an FUNIFELT meetings, lessons and activities;
Your subscription to receive our newsletter;
You are a member of the Facebook group FUNIFELT;
You like, post comments or send messages to the Facebook;
You follow, post comments or send messages to FUNIFELT on Instagram;
You follow, post comments or send messages to FUNIFELT on LinkedIn.

You follow, post comments or send messages to FUNIFELT on Twitter.

Article 3: Your rights regarding your personal data

Right to inspect: if you want to look into your data, you can send us a request by email.
Modification: if you want to modify your data, you can send us a request by email.
Objection: you have the right to object against the processing of your data.
Revocation: you can revoke the permission you have given us to process your data at any moment. Keep in mind that this will affect the services we can offer you.
For the aforementioned requests and modifications, please contact FUNIFELT Team. After that, we will take adequate measures, depending on the request or modification.

Article 4: Data Processing Agreements

We will use the data you provided for corporate purposes only and we will not share them with third parties, unless we have a legal obligation to do so. To warrant your privacy, we have arranged data processing agreements with the companies whose services we use.

Article 5: Storing your data

We will store a part of your personal data for a maximum period of six months, using a cloud service (Google). The other personal data we will save for a longer time because of our legal obligation, like the personal data on the invoices. We take adequate safety measures on a frequent basis, to store these data in a correct way.

Article 6: Final clauses

We can modify this privacy statement from time to time. Whenever these modifications are significant, we will clearly notify you. We will send you a notification email in any case if you have subscribed to receive our newsletter. If you have chosen not to share your email address with us, we recommend you to check our privacy statement on our website on a regular basis, to stay up to date. Whenever you receive such a notification, we recommend you to read it carefully.

You have the right to register a complaint at the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Dutch: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) and Colombian Government whenever you feel the need to do so. If you have any questions about this privacy statement or the processing of your data, please contact FUNIFELT Team
